This stunning Mitsubishi Evo 6 was in with us for a Paint Correction, Gtechniq’s EXOv4 and C5 Wheel Armour coatings. This Evo was in great condition already thanks to its current owner who wanted to tidy up the paintwork and protect the paint and wheels.

Given the good condition of the paint already, we performed a light decontamination to remove all iron and tar contaminants from the paint and wheels before claying the vehicle. A light clay bar was used to remove any remaining contaminants such as tree sap from the paint before we rewashed and dried the car before the machine polishing process.
With only light to medium swirling on the paint and due to the soft nature of Japanese paints, we decided to use Menzerna’s 2200 medium cut polish to remove these imperfections. A combination of 2200 and a Shinemate Blue Diamond polishing pad on the Flex VRG proved to be the ideal method to remove all visible swirl marks and left a perfect haze free finish. The Rupes iBrid Nano was used on tighter areas like under the spoiler to remove imperfections there. This left the silver paintwork looking extremely glossy even before we applied EXO.
Once the car was rewashed, air dried and panel wiped a final time we applied EXOv4 to the paintwork which meant the owner now had very little maintenance to perform on the paint to keep the car looking its best for years to come. We also applied C5 Wheel Armour to the faces of all the wheels which helped to emphasise the lovely metallic paint on the Work’s.
The exterior of this car was now well protected from the elements and makes the owners wash procedure a dream with how hydrophobic the paint and wheels are now which should last up to two years and beyond with the correct maintenance.
